Key Aspects of Connexio’s work

Supporting partner churches locally: Connexio supports various churches and communities by offering leadership coaching and advice, training for local leaders and financial help for salaries and infrastructure.

Outreach and church growth: Connexio financially supports church planting, church growth and evangelical outreach. Connexio also facilitates training and further education for church leaders and other lay church-members.

Practical help for everyday life: Connexio supports partner churches in projects such as:

  • giving kids and youth access to better opportunities
  • making health services accessible to everyone
  • supporting rural development
  • facilitating social integration of marginalised members of society.

Supporting migrants: Connexio helps communities, partner churches and charities supporting migrants. This encompasses emergency relief, facilitating church growth and encouraging integration in exile countries.

Emergency Relief: Thanks to an emergency relief fund, Connexio can help partner churches bring rapid aid direct to those in need.

Connexio was founded in 2002 as a merger of the former committees for inner (KiM) and external mission (KäM) as well as Hilfe im Sprengel (relief program for former Eastern bloc countries) of the United Methodist Church Switzerland-France
